When Twin Waters Golf Club on Queensland's Sunshine Coast installed 12 Links Lockers, more members wanted one than there were lockers to go around. The club ran a lottery to decide who got one.
Now it's planning to add more as soon as it has the space.
Here's how the install came together, and what it tells other clubs about member demand for golf bag storage.

About Twin Waters Golf Club
Twin Waters is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by five-time Open champion Peter Thomson and his design partner Mike Wolveridge. It opened in 1991, was one of the first courses to bring links-style design to Queensland, and was ranked 87th in Australia by Australian Golf Digest for 2024 to 2025. It's a club with a loyal membership and a steady stream of visiting golfers, which makes member amenities matter.
The install: 12 lockers in Fairway Oak
The club chose 12 full-height lockers in our Fairway Oak finish with black frames and frosted acrylic windows. Nine line the walls of one room, and three more sit in a second space.
Each locker stands 67.9 inches (1725 mm) tall on a 19.7-inch (500 mm) square footprint, so a full golf bag goes in and out without a fight, with room alongside it for shoes and a few extras. Every unit has an integrated combination lock, an internal club rack and an automatic LED sensor light. That is the key difference from a traditional clubhouse locker, which at around 15 inches wide is built for clothes rather than bags. Here is why most clubhouse lockers don't suit a golf bag.

Why frosted windows
Our lockers come with a clear display window, a frosted window or a solid door. Frosted acrylic suits shared spaces. You can tell there's a bag inside, and the warm wood-look finish still shows off the row, but the contents stay private. The result reads as furniture rather than storage, which is exactly what a clubhouse wants.
The result: a lottery for lockers
Demand outran supply straight away. With more members wanting a locker than the club had lockers, Twin Waters ran a lottery to allocate them fairly.
That's the clearest signal a club can get. Members didn't need to be sold on the idea. Given the option of keeping their clubs on site in a personal, lockable bag locker, more of them said yes than the club could accommodate. Twin Waters now plans to add more lockers once it has sorted the extra space.

What it means for your club
If Twin Waters is anything to go by, the demand for golf bag storage at most clubs is already there. It's just waiting for somewhere to go.
Three things clubs can take from this install:
- Start with a row. Twelve lockers was enough to prove demand without a big upfront decision. Adding more later is simple, because every order is made to order in the same finish.
- Bag storage is a revenue line. Members value a personal locker enough to compete for one. That's storage members will pay a monthly fee for, and at realistic rental rates the lockers pay for themselves.
- It doesn't need a renovation. The lockers stand against an existing wall in any room with the space. No joinery, no building work.
Every commercial order is made to order, in any of our four standard finishes or a custom color matched to your club, with the option of your club logo pressed into the door. Finance is available on approved applications with nothing paid up front, so the rental income can cover the repayments.
